VGround Earns GS Grade 1 Certification for Infinitystack v2.0, Proving Reliability of HCI Solution

Software1 min read

Vnground, an IT infrastructure company, says its HCI product Infinitystack v2.0 earned Korea's top GS certification grade (Grade 1). The grade can open a direct path to sell to public agencies.

What happened

Vnground said its Infinitystack v2.0 software received GS certification Grade 1, the highest level. Under Korea's software promotion law, Grade 1 software can be named a priority purchase for public agencies and can be sold through a direct contract with the Public Procurement Service, without a bidding contest. Infinitystack is a bundle of tools that run servers, containers, AI computing, and a single dashboard on one platform.

Key facts

  • Certification: GS Grade 1 (the highest grade)
  • Announced: the 20th (per the article)
  • Built on open-source technology
  • Works with existing VMware systems, so old systems do not need to be replaced all at once
  • Can start on low-spec servers and small setups

Some terms explained

HCI (hyper-converged infrastructure) combines computing, storage, and networking into one system that is easier to manage. Virtualization lets one physical server act like several separate computers. Containers are small, portable packages that hold an app and everything it needs to run. GPUs are chips that handle heavy graphics and AI work well.

Why it matters

Many organizations run virtual machines, containers, and AI tools in separate systems, which is hard to manage. Infinitystack tries to put them in one place. It also aims to let regular IT staff run the system without special engineers. The company says GPU sharing can cut the cost of expensive AI chips, which may make AI projects cheaper to start.

What to watch

  • Vnground plans to release a GPU management platform this year.
  • The new platform would show GPUs spread across many servers and data centers on one screen.
  • GPU sharing is meant to use limited chips better and lower infrastructure costs.
  • Whether public agencies start buying Infinitystack through direct contracts.

Zen Browser is the Arc replacement I was looking for

The Verge's Terrence O'Brien says Zen Browser is a strong replacement for Arc, which Atlassian is phasing out in favor of its AI-focused browser Dia. Zen copies Arc's best visual and organizational features while remaining AI-free and privacy-focused. It has some drawbacks, including no DRM-protected video playback for now.

Now you can watch Instagram Reels on your Apple TV

Meta has brought Instagram for TV to Apple TV, quietly adding the platform to its compatible list in the App Store on October 23rd. The app presents Reels, live streams, and other video content on a larger screen, following earlier launches on Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Smart TVs, and Google TV. The move supports Instagram's push into longer-form, episodic content and microdramas.
