Platier Launches XGEN TMS, a Test Management Solution for Air-Gapped Environments, Aiming to Lead the AI-Driven Quality Management Market

Software2 min read

Platier, a Korean software company, has launched XGEN TMS, a test management tool that works in closed networks (offline systems with no outside internet). It uses AI to help companies plan and track software quality checks.

What happened

Platier announced the official launch of XGEN TMS, a test management system. It can run in closed networks, which are private systems cut off from the outside internet. It connects to Platier's AI platform XGEN, so teams can use AI agents and automated workflows. Companies can also choose other AI engines, such as their own in-house large language models (LLMs) or open-source models. The tool helps write test cases and suggests which parts of a system to re-test after a change. It covers the whole quality check process in one system, from requirements to test design, test results, and bug tracking.

Why testing is slow today

AI tools have made software faster to build. But testing and quality checks often still rely on manual work, such as Excel files, which slows things down. Car makers and other advanced manufacturers need proof of their test history for audits. Banks and public agencies want better testing too, but closed networks make it hard to use outside AI services.

Key numbers

  • Global software testing market: expected to grow from $54.4 billion in 2026 to $99.9 billion in 2031, according to Mordor Intelligence.
  • AI-based test automation market: expected to grow from $8.8 billion in 2025 to $36 billion in 2032, a yearly growth rate of 22.3%, according to MarketsandMarkets.
  • XGEN TMS version 1.0 is launched now. Version 2.0 is planned for the first half of next year.

Why it matters

Many companies want AI to help with testing but cannot send their data outside. XGEN TMS lets them keep data inside their own network. Because test cases and history stay in the tool when the AI engine changes, a company does not lose its work if it switches AI models later. Platier also works with Tricentis, a testing software maker, and links to tools such as Jira and Tosca.

What to watch

  • Version 2.0, planned for the first half of next year, will add web and mobile app test automation links.
  • New AI features in 2.0 include predicting where bugs may appear, filtering duplicate bugs, and sorting the causes of test failures automatically.
  • Platier plans to target banks, manufacturers, and public organizations, especially existing Tricentis customers.

Zen Browser is the Arc replacement I was looking for

The Verge's Terrence O'Brien says Zen Browser is a strong replacement for Arc, which Atlassian is phasing out in favor of its AI-focused browser Dia. Zen copies Arc's best visual and organizational features while remaining AI-free and privacy-focused. It has some drawbacks, including no DRM-protected video playback for now.

Now you can watch Instagram Reels on your Apple TV

Meta has brought Instagram for TV to Apple TV, quietly adding the platform to its compatible list in the App Store on October 23rd. The app presents Reels, live streams, and other video content on a larger screen, following earlier launches on Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Smart TVs, and Google TV. The move supports Instagram's push into longer-form, episodic content and microdramas.
