Softcamp Strengthens Joint Sales with Japanese Partners

Security1 min read

SoftCamp, a Korean cybersecurity company, is holding a four-stop partner event tour in Japan. The goal is to sell its security products together with local partners.

What happened

SoftCamp started its Japan partner tour in Tokyo with the first 'SoftCamp Japan Partner Day 2026' event. The tour will go on to Fukuoka and Nagoya, then return to Tokyo. At each event, SoftCamp met local partners, talked about customers' security needs, and planned ways to make offers and support sales together. In Tokyo, it showed two products: SHIELD Gate, a secure remote access service, and SHIELD DRM, a cloud document security tool.

Key facts

  • The tour has 4 events in total.
  • The first event was held on the 16th in Tokyo. SoftCamp announced it on the 19th.
  • The Japan partner tour includes Tokyo, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and then Tokyo again.
  • Partners from CTC (ITOCHU Techno-Solutions) gave talks on how to sell to Japanese government and local government markets.

Background

SoftCamp sells security tools that protect company computer systems and files. Its products use a method called web isolation, which keeps outside web content away from a company's own network. Recently, companies have also worried about risks from AI tools, such as data leaks and outside attacks. In July, SoftCamp showed a tool that controls how internal AI agents access company systems.

Why it matters

Japan is a large market for security software. By working with local partners, SoftCamp can understand customer needs better and sell products that fit each customer. The Fukuoka event also adds software supply chain security, which checks the parts that make up software. This could help SoftCamp offer a wider set of security services in Japan.

What to watch

  • Results of the remaining events in Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Tokyo.
  • How SoftCamp uses customer needs from these events in new offers and tech support.
  • Whether partners expand their sales from remote access and document security to software supply chain security.

The Privacy Risks of "Always-Listening" AI Devices

AI-enabled devices such as smart speakers, smartwatches and smart glasses that are always ready to respond can collect data, raising privacy concerns. Global shipments of AI glasses reportedly jumped to 8.4 million in 2025 from 2.1 million in 2024, according to Omdia data cited by Reuters. Experts warn that bystanders may be monitored without owning any device, and that AI can interpret far more collected information than earlier voice assistants.
