CyberVista Supplies Network Security Solution to Three Public Institutions

Security3 min read

CQVista (씨큐비스타) says it has supplied its network security product PacketCYBER to three major public agencies in Korea, including central government ministries and public corporations. The product watches network traffic to spot hacking signs.

What happened

CQVista said it has delivered its network detection and response (NDR) product, PacketCYBER, to three major public organizations. These include central government ministries and state-run companies. The deliveries came after the company announced PacketCYBER 3.0 in June. CQVista says it is talking with several more possible customers, so its public-sector customer base could grow.

Key facts

  • 3 major public organizations received PacketCYBER
  • PacketCYBER 3.0 was announced in June
  • The product detects 14 attack tactics and 146 attack techniques
  • It is based on the MITRE ATT&CK framework

How the product works

PacketCYBER studies network traffic to find hacking signs and unusual behavior. It also checks encrypted traffic without opening it. It looks at timing, data amounts, and session details to spot links to command-and-control (C2) servers, which hackers use to control infected systems, or signs of data theft. MITRE ATT&CK is a shared list of how real attackers work, and security tools use it to show what they can detect.

Why it matters

Public agencies hold sensitive data, so they need strong protection. This deal shows that a Korean-made NDR product can work in government settings. CQVista plans to use this record to win private customers in finance and manufacturing next. CEO Jeon Deok-jo said the company will keep improving the technology to compete at home and abroad.

What to watch

  • Whether CQVista signs new public-sector customers
  • Whether the company wins deals in finance or manufacturing
  • How the product keeps improving for global markets

The Privacy Risks of "Always-Listening" AI Devices

AI-enabled devices such as smart speakers, smartwatches and smart glasses that are always ready to respond can collect data, raising privacy concerns. Global shipments of AI glasses reportedly jumped to 8.4 million in 2025 from 2.1 million in 2024, according to Omdia data cited by Reuters. Experts warn that bystanders may be monitored without owning any device, and that AI can interpret far more collected information than earlier voice assistants.
