What happened

Anthropic published a GitHub project called claude-plugins-official. It is a list, or marketplace, of add-ons for Claude Code. Users can install a plugin with one command or browse the list inside Claude Code. The project also explains how to add new plugins and how each plugin should be organized.

How the directory is organized

The project has two main folders. One holds plugins made by Anthropic's own team. The other holds plugins from partners and the community. Outside plugins must meet quality and security rules before they are approved. Each plugin has a standard layout, with a settings file, optional commands, optional agents, optional skills, and a README file.

Why it matters
