A suitcase that becomes a scooter

LEQI Smart has designed the L3 Smart Electric Suitcase. It is a piece of hand luggage with a fold-out base and handle, so it can be used as a scooter. Its sensors help it follow its owner and avoid obstacles. The design appeared in the 2026 Red Dot Award: Product Design listings.

A company built on short trips

LEQI Smart was founded in 2016 in Shenzhen. It set out to solve the last two kilometers of a trip, the short gap between where public transit stops and where you need to go. Today its products include electric scooters, self-balancing vehicles, e-bikes, electric riding luggage, and electric motorcycles. Many of its core technologies, such as battery management and electric-drive systems, are shared across these products.

LEQI must turn sales into real brand loyalty, and it must adapt its technology to very different products, from commuter scooters to off-road motorcycles to rideable suitcases.
