Rampad Strengthens Integrated Network Performance and Security Analysis with Global Threat Intelligence

Security1 min read

Network performance firm Rampart plans to add threat data from Group-IB to its AI LAMPAD tool. The goal is to spot both network faults and security threats in one place.

What happened

Rampart said it will add a new security feature to AI LAMPAD, its tool for checking network performance using data packets. The feature uses Indicators of Compromise (IOC) from Group-IB, a global cyber threat intelligence company. AI LAMPAD compares IP addresses, domains, and URLs from live network sessions with IOC data. This helps it find possible threats, such as connections to bad IP addresses, command-and-control (C&C) servers, or suspicious websites.

Key facts

  • The new feature was announced on the 24th.
  • It works with the existing packet analysis setup, so no separate security traffic collection system is needed.
  • Companies can see when a threat connection happened, the source and destination IP addresses, the service, and the session details.
  • AI LAMPAD focuses on real traffic and errors inside a company network, while older tools mainly track device links, performance stats, and asset management.

Some background

Network management systems (NMS) and application performance management (APM) tools mostly watch how devices connect and how well they perform. AI LAMPAD looks at the actual data moving through a network, one packet at a time. This makes it useful for finding both slow or broken connections and signs of an attack.

Why it matters

Companies often use separate tools for network problems and for security. Combining them can help teams find the cause of an outage and check whether an attack is behind it, all in one view. Rampart says this is especially useful for banks and other businesses that need both stable networks and strong security.

What to watch

  • Whether the feature is released to customers and how well it detects real threats.
  • How Rampart expands the product into a wider platform that covers both performance and security.
  • Plans for better outage prediction and prevention in ICT infrastructure.

The Privacy Risks of "Always-Listening" AI Devices

AI-enabled devices such as smart speakers, smartwatches and smart glasses that are always ready to respond can collect data, raising privacy concerns. Global shipments of AI glasses reportedly jumped to 8.4 million in 2025 from 2.1 million in 2024, according to Omdia data cited by Reuters. Experts warn that bystanders may be monitored without owning any device, and that AI can interpret far more collected information than earlier voice assistants.
