Google has added an AI feature to the CarPlay version of Google Maps for iPhone users. Drivers can open Gemini's voice mode while driving, for example to ask follow-up questions. Android Auto users already had this kind of Gemini access, and it was built into the phone's system. For iPhone drivers, it arrives through Google's most-used app instead.
