Apple has just launched the 'Upgrade' leasing program in partnership with Klarna. The scheme allows eligible customers to rent Apple products with monthly fees starting at $11.99. The lease durations vary, including one- and two-year options for iPhones and Apple Watches, and two- and three-year plans for Macs and iPads. Towards the end of the lease, customers have the choice to upgrade to a new device, settle the remaining amount, or return the product. This initiative aims to tackle the challenges arising from recent price increases due to the 'RAMageddon' chip shortage. Apple has streamlined customer options by phasing out its earlier financing programs in favor of this new system. Moreover, customers can opt to trade in their existing devices to reduce payments and also receive 3% Daily Cash back if they use Apple Card.
